2. Welcome to the Hartong Travel Agency where traveling to exciting places and discovering new things is our first priority. Are you tired of those same old family vacations? Want to see new and exciting places? Take a trip to the most interesting Biomes of the World. Visit and discover what the Terrestrial Biomes have to offer. Learn about the plant life, animal life, climate, location and much more.

3. You are now an employee of the Hartong Travel Agency. Your job is to vacation to one of the Biomes and see what it has to offer. The travel agency needs your help. Due to the recent economy crisis, business has been very slow. As an employee, you need to vacation to one of these biomes and find out about its plant/animal life, climate, location, and tell us whether it is a good vacation spot to bring the family. Your job is to create a poster using photos, graphs, and information about your assigned biome and present it to the class!

4. To complete this task, you must log onto my teacher class page and use the links provided to research your biome. Your project must include the following information about your assigned biome: 1.General description of the biome (10 points) 2.Distribution map (5 points) 3.At least two pictures of the biome (10 points) 4.At least 3 animals native to the biome (10 points) 5.At least 3 plants native to the biome (10 points) 6.Estimated yearly precipitation and temperature graphs (10 points) 7.A food chain found in the biome (10 points) 8.Environmental pressures found in your biome (10 points) 9.Soil profile (10 points) 10.Overall appearance of the project and presentation (15 points)

7. Find or make a distribution map of where your biome is located

8. Be sure your pictures are clear and are of your actual biome.

9. You must provide 3 animals that are native to the biome and briefly describe them in your project. (Any adaptations they have to survive in the biome) You must provide 3 plants that are native to the biome as well. The alpaca (llama) has very thick fur to survive the cold climate of the Andes. Its long neck helps spot predators among the rocks of the mountain slopes.

10. You must have a temperature and precipitation graph for your biome.

11. Your food chain must have at least 5 elements and it must begin with a producer

12. You must find at least one environmental pressure that your biome is facing, or has faced in the past!

13. You must show a diagram of the soil profile and describe the three horizon layers commonly found in most soils (A, B, and C)
