7 1. Teacher modelling: Model the process of writing ‘live’. 2. Ensure that students fully understand the purpose, audience and form. 3. Talk for writing: give students the opportunity to consolidate and rehearse ideas before writing. 4. Green Pen! As you circulate around the class, correct and identify any capital letters, spellings or punctuation mistakes. Insist that students correct their mistakes immediately!
