3. Definition of a Drug Any chemical substance that causes a physical or mental change in the structure of the body. Round Robin: Appoint a recorder and take turns listing any drugs you know of. You have 90 seconds!

4. Types of Drugs Medicine: a drug given for the purpose of prevention, diagnosis or treatment of a disease or illness. Prescription: a doctor’s written direction for the use of medicine. Over-the-counter: medicine that can be purchased without a doctor’s prescription.
