4 Getting to Know You 1.Write your first name in a manner that reflects your Personality. 2.Next, write the name of your favorite candy/candy bar or other food item or beverage (non-alcoholic, of course). 3.Next, write your favorite time of the year (season)—not holiday, and why you chose this time of year. 4.Next, write the name of a famous person or the name of a person of great influence whom you wish you could meet and talk to for at least one hour of your life and why. 5.Next, write your greatest fear (spiders, frogs, clowns, heights, etc). 6.Next, write what you consider to be your best character trait/quality (for example, your determination or patience or tolerance level, etc.). 7.Next, write the moment of your greatest joy or meaningful triumph. 8.Next, describe something you would really like to get better at in English this year. Your answer cannot be “nothing”. 9.Next, write one thing you would like to have told your English teacher last year. Please do NOT write that teacher’s name. 12 Getting to Know Someone Else! 1.Circle three answers that you would share with a classmate. 2.Say to your shoulder partner (I will tell you who that is), “Hello! My name is_________”. 3.Now you will share your three answers. 4.The first person to speak is the person sitting closest to the ceiling. 5.After your partner shares say to them, “It is very nice to meet you!” 6.Be ready to be called on to introduce your partner.
