4 Native American languages The Native American languages predate European settlement of the New World. Most of these languages are endangered.  Navajo  Dakota  Cherokee  Western Apache  Zuni

5 African American English It is an African American variety of American English. Its pronunciation is common to Southern American English, which is spoken by many African Americans and many non-African Americans in the United States. African American English has contributed slang expressions such as cool and hip.

6 American English The term 'americanism' was first used by John Witherspoon, president of Princeton University, in 1781. American English is different from British English in terms of spelling, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and slang usage.
