2 92 School sessions were delivered within the Borough in 2014/15, (3000 young people) Over 40 schools and organisations visited this year so far ….1800 people benefiting from a school/ educational presentation. The Roach Campaign – raising awareness & reporting different types of crime & ASB Young Victims of ASB / recognising Hate Crime - understanding the impact of behaviour Weapons Awareness – raising awareness around consequences of carrying weapons. Community Safety – Work in Schools

3 Citizenship Programme –what is a good citizen? Consequences of committing ASB and crime. ASB and Alcohol in secondary schools Beer goggles and drink driving – simulator game to raise awareness Risk Taking Behaviour PSHE programme for year 7 - 11 in secondary schools Cyberbullying and Internet Safety Community Safety – Work in Schools

7 Since January 2014 26 cases have been looked at by the group (6 currently remain open) 20 discharged 7 of these were escalated to MARAC 8 reduced calls to the police and were engaging with services 3 moved from the area 2 refused to engage with any of the Services offered from Agencies Community Safety – DA Medium Repeats

8 Success A reduced number of calls being made to the police where the couples remain together Empowered to understand options and make informed choices Raising awareness of the help and support available Challenge Number of calls to the police increased April-July 2015 (8%/ +107 incidents) Repeat incident rate has also increased to 46.4% from 37.1% Difficult to engage clients Changes in job roles and staff turnaround for attendance at meetings Consistency in the way cases are identified Community Safety – DA Medium Repeats
