3. Salinity Experiment Part I
1. Put salt into a beaker up to the 50 ml marker

2. Add water until the beaker is filled to the 150 ml mark

3. Add 3 drops of Red Food Coloring and mix for 30 seconds

4. Salinity Experiment Part 2
1. Fill a plastic tub to near the top
2. Pour the salty red stuff from part 1 into the plastic tube…
Pour it very slowly and at the edges
Lets the water settle and write observations and draw you picture of what you see on your lab report in the Salinity portion.

5. Temperature Experiment Part 1
Fill a plastic tub to near the top
Take the tub into the back room and microwave for 90 seconds…be careful
Microwave for 90 seconds

6. Temperature Experiment Part 2
Get a full beaker of ice water add 3 drops of blue food coloring
Pour the ice water into the tub from part I….
Lets the water settle and write observations and draw you picture of what you see on your lab report in the Termperature portion.

7. Part 3
Do The salinity experiment again… and use what you learned to make as many colored layers as possible….try to make up to 3 different layers.
