2. God is 3 in 1???  A hard idea to understand... Not 3 gods Not 3 personalities  3 persons,1 being FATHER SONHOLY SPIRIT GOD

3. God’s Unity  Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear o Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is one!”  Isaiah 45:5 “I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God.”  John 1:18 “No one has ever seen God. But his only Son, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart; he has told us about him.”

4. God’s Unity  Colossians 1:15 “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before God made anything at all, and is supreme over all creation.”  Colossians 2:9 “For in Christ all the fullness of God lives in a human body.”

5. God’s Different-ness  Genesis 1:26, 27 “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness... So God created man in His own image...”  Matt 11:27 “My Father has given me authority over everything. No one really knows the Son except the Father, and no one really knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.”

6. God’s Different-ness  Matt 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit...”  John 14:26 “But when the Father sends the Counselor as my representative [Jesus] -- and by Counselor I mean the Holy Spirit -- he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I myself have told you.”

7. Very important  if Jesus wasn’t God, he couldn’t have paid for our sins  if the Father weren’t God, he wouldn’t be all- powerful, or all-knowing, or infinite - we would just be following a giant “power-monger”  if the Holy Spirit weren’t God, he couldn’t help us know God, he wouldn’t bring us any special power

8. Very important  If the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were different gods, they wouldn’t be unified.  Because of the Trinity God can be personal. He has perfect love within himself, and he doesn’t need us to express love.

9. What’s that mean to me?  Want to know God better? Start with JESUS.  Read about His life  Pray that Jesus would show you who God is We also have Holy Spirit Matt 11:27 “No one really knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.” John 14:26 The Holy Spirit “will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I myself have told you.”
