2. Speed, Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
Velocity = distance / time
Balanced forces are equal and opposite
Unbalanced forces are not equal
An object speeding up is positively accelerating
An object slowing down is negatively accelerating
An object going at a constant speed has balanced forces
An object accelerating (positively or negatively) has unbalanced forces
Friction is the force that acts in the opposite direction of a moving object and slows it down.
