2  Please pass up your hw.  Be prepared to answer the following discussion question: How important is it for a child to have a parent who frequently holds, hugs, and cuddles them when they are an infant? Is that time being held necessary for healthy development?

5  Initially infants want to be held, by ANYONE, rather than be alone  By 4 months usually attached to main caregiver, usually MOTHER, and cry when separated

6 Stranger Anxiety- By 8 months some infants show a fear of STRANGERS Separation Anxiety- crying or otherwise showing distress if their mothers leave them (even if only for a few moments)

8 Secure: Mothers (primary caregivers) who are affectionate and RELIABLE  securely attached child *Secure children are happier, friendlier, and more cooperative. They are also less likely to MISBEHAVE and tend to do better in school
