5 Starting the year… All teachers and administrators using the ezrti program should attempt to log in during the first workdays using their Username and Password.

6 Indicators for When to Use Tier 1/PEP A student requiring significantly more instructional or behavioral supports than are typically provided as part of “good teaching” Students already in a remediation program to show what the teacher is doing in the classroom Students considered at risk for retention or school failure

7 Tier 1 Review with ezrti form 1b after 3-4 weeks of intervention. Plans that appear to be effective may continue as long as needed or interventions used may be added and the student continued at Tier I as needed. Plans that are not effective may be considered for additional intervention or moving to Tier II.

8 Tier II- Recommendations to Improve Process At Tier II for 2011-12 School Year: Grade Level /Departmental Teams or a designee from that team are recommended to review students referred for Tier II. Teachers must know who their grade level contact to assist with Tier II will be. The grade level contact can meet with the teacher, parent to review the Tier I plan and make further recommendations as needed. Other school resource professionals, including school psychologists, school social workers, counselors, and instructional coach may be invited to participate on a case by case basis according to need. Tier II is reviewed with Tier IIb form- Parent is invited, and Grade Level contact/designee. If decision to move from Tier II to Tier III is recommended, the TAT Chair must be notified and be given all information from Tiers I and II to place in a blue TAT folder.

9 Tiers I and II: Invitation Forms Teacher Sends to Parents The parent invitation forms are located under District Documents in ezrti. They can be printed and sent from the program. Parents can be contacted by letter, email, face to face contact, or phone contact. Document date contact was made and type of contact on the ezrti form.

10 Tier I and II Students from Last Year Students in the process during the 2010-11 school year will have the tier in which they finished the school year listed by their name on the teacher’s ezrti roster. Students at Tiers I and II from the 2010-11 school year should be reviewed by teacher and parent (Tier 1) Teacher, parent and Tier II representative (Tier II) Determine if another intervention is needed, or continue intervention from last year for 3-4 weeks. Then review to consider referral to next step in process. Students in Tier I or II from last year should also have a red PEP folder at the school. Locate this folder and continue the process as described above. Hard copies of forms at Tiers I, II and any documentation should be kept in the red PEP folder.

11 Tier III Students from 2010-11 School Year Tier III students must be reviewed by the TAT /PSM Team as soon as possible in the school year. The team determines appropriate next steps according to information provided from the previous school year, and current performance. The TAT Chair will send invitations, parent screening notices, and all forms for Tier III. Students in Tier III from last school year should have a blue TAT folder in their cumulative record. This folder should be located and given to the TAT Chair.

12 Intervention Resources: -Go to My Computer on your desktop computer -Click on (V) Drive under “Distapps”. -Click on Teacher folder, then EASY RTI folder. -In Easy RTI folder, click on ezrti Directory. - Go to the first Word document after the first row of file folders - !aPCS TAT Intervention Directory. Click on this document. All interventions will make a directory. Use the Control key on your computer with left click on your mouse to go to any intervention website. You can print any intervention you would like to use.

13 Resources: Directions for using ezrti for a PEP or for a TAT Referral On your computer desktop, go to “My Computer” icon. Find and click on “V Drive” Click on Teacher folder Click on Easy RTI folder Select “For PCS ezrti.PEP” which is a Power Point of directions for the program.
