NO MORE EXTERNAL EXAM YOU NOW PRODUCE A REPORT ON A TOPIC OR COMBINATION OF TOPICS FROM LEVEL 8 OF THE NZC (LEVEL 3 NCEA) YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A DECLARATION FORM THAT STATES THE WORK YOU SUBMIT IS YOUR OWN TEACHERS WILL BE ABLE TO HELP GUIDE YOU WHEN PRODUCING YOUR REPORT

OVERALL JUDGEMENT WILL BE PRIMARILY BASED ON THE DESCRIPTION FROM THE STANDARD (93501): “THE STUDENT WILL USE KNOWLEDGE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TO CRITICALLY EVALUATE INFORMATION RELATED TO PHYSICAL ACTIVITY THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF BIOPHYSICAL PRINCIPLES AND SOCIOCULTURAL FACTORS DRAWN FROM LEARNING EXPERIENCES IN, THROUGH AND ABOUT HUMAN BODY MOVEMENT”

YOU WILL RECEIVE A MARK OUT OF 8 (TOTALLING A POSSIBLE 24) FROM THE FOLLOWING THREE AREAS: COMMUNICATION: LOGICAL DEVELOPMENT, PRECISION AND CLARITY OF IDEAS (SCHOLARSHIP) CONVINCING COMMUNICATION (OUTSTANDING SCHOLARSHIP) APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE INTEGRATION, SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION OF HIGHLY DEVELOPED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING OF COMPLEX SITUATIONS (SCHOLARSHIP) SOPHISTICATED INTEGRATION AND ABSTRACTION (OUTSTANDING SCHOLARSHIP)

6 PRESENTATION OF THE REPORT THE REPORT MAY BE SUBMITTED AS A HARD COPY, OR AS A DIGITAL SUBMISSION OR A COMBINATION OF BOTH HARD COPY OR DIGITAL. IT CAN ALSO INCLUDE DIAGRAMS AND ILLUSTRATIONS EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THE REPORT MAY BE DRAWN FROM ONE MAJOR UNIT OF WORK OR MULTIPLE UNITS OF WORK FROM YOUR LEVEL 3 PROGRAMME. THIS WORK NEEDS TO BE LINKED AND INTERRELATED TO GENERATE A COHERENT BODY OF WORK. NOTE A UNIT IS NOT A LEVEL 3 ACHIEVEMENT STANDARD THE NUMBER OF WORDS IN THE REPORT IS LIKELY TO BE 2000 – 3000. BIO-PHYSICAL PRINCIPLES REFER TO THE PRINCIPLES OF ANATOMY, BIOMECHANICS, EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY, SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY, AND NUTRITION AS THEY RELATE TO HUMAN BODY MOVEMENT. SOCIO-CULTURAL FACTORS RELATE TO THE SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ENVIRONMENTS AND CONTEXTS IN WHICH HUMAN BODY MOVEMENT TAKES PLACE.

A CRITICAL EVALUATION OF THE BP AND SC TENSION BETWEEN THEORY AND PRACTICE IN PE. A CRITICAL EVALUATION OF THE BP AND SC OUTCOMES OF TAKING ACTION THROUGH A HEALTH-PROMOTION PROCESS WITH RESPECT TO LIFELONG WELL-BEING.
