2 2 The method used by TSP’s to submit TPIT data is changing. TSP’s will submit data used for MODTPIT using the Model On Demand application used by TSP’s and ERCOT to build the Steady State Working Group base cases. ERCOT will query the MOD database and extract the information to the MODTPIT spreadsheet. Will the TPIT spreadsheet change? The MODTPIT spreadsheet will use the same basic formatting as the current TPIT spreadsheet. Two new columns will be added to show the MOD Project and Phase ID. One column will be deleted that contains the SSWG base case bus numbers which can not be pulled easily from the database. This information is available via case build logs posted with the cases. The MODTPIT number format will change from its current “YYTPITNNNN” format to “MOD Project ID” & “_” & “MOD Phase ID”. This format will be used for all new projects that do not currently have a TPIT number. What is happening to TPIT?

3 3 Some of the data needed for TPIT is already in MOD. Important information such as “Effective Date”, RPG type and status, and comments already in MOD. Entry fields for additional data can easily be added using MOD User Defined Fields. Central Database for Consistency? The TSP members that submit and maintain the TPIT spreadsheet data and the TSP members that submit projects in MOD to build SSWG base cases will have one place to go to see both sets of data. TPIT and SSWG “Effective Dates” will be always be consistent as it is entered only once and could have two sets of eyes looking at it. Other Benefits Free a resource at ERCOT Eliminate manual spreadsheet copying and pasting and errors associated Eliminate free form text format differences (county, reactor/capacitor Mvar, “Yes” vs “Y”, etc) Why?
