2 THE HOUR OF CODE GOAL is getting excited about 431 NAI students joining us for The Hour of Code on Thursday, December 11th. This event is FULL - but if you signed up to participate, you will receive GOAL credit. :) Special thanks go out to the App Think Tank students, who are helping out with the event!

3 Feeling insane, powerful, silly, enraged, passionate, jealous or awkward? Put your Shakespearean emotions to good use. Try out for The Shakespearean Monologue Contest! This year's audition is in February, but now is the time to sign up. YOU MUST SEE MISS STACKHOUSE during your LUNCH TO SELECT YOUR SCENE OR MONOLOGUE BEFORE WINTER BREAK!

4 Last Call, Mock Trial. Applications will only be accepted by the end of the day today! We will have three meetings on the first three Tuesdays in December @ 6:40 in room 12 as well as two additional meetings after school. Attendance at the meetings is required for participation in this event. The actual event will take place on: January 6th at Duquesne University.

5 Ever see an image that makes you question if it is real? Ever see a picture that was controversial until you learned the context of it? We will explore this idea. We will create our own pictures that lie and tell stories. We will discuss how this idea is beneficial and damaging. Then, we will finish it up with a tour of a special photography exhibit by Duane Michals who has done something similar well before it was common. Un-photoshopped. Here and at CMOA in January!

Students LEAP ahead ten years in their understanding as they are exposed to the frontiers of computer science research.
