15 Rule2 Attribute( 作定语 ): If an – ing form is a phrase, it is often placed after the word it modifies( 修饰 ). 1.The students sleeping in the classroom are not from our class. 2.The students listening to the teacher are from Class11,Grade1.

A pop star is a singer singing pop songs ( 主动 ) = A pop star is a singer who/ that sings pop songs. This is a picture painted by my father. ( 被动 ) = This is a picture which was painted by my father. The new train designed by this expert will be tested next month. ( 被动 ) = The new train which was designed by this expert will be tested next month.

( 在进行 ) = I know the young man who is sleeping on the bench. The letter mailed last night will reach him tomorrow. ( 已完成 ) = The letter which was mailed last night will reach him tomorrow.
