1 Development and Dissemination of Good Practice and Innovation Belfast Education and Library Board Cohort 7 Briefing

2 Seminar Objectives To appraise schools of the main procedures for participation in the Dissemination programme. 3 The Year Ahead September Schools notified October November 1 st - Submission of completed action plan December Merry Christmas January Presentations to SSP steering group. All monies to be allocated. February March End of Programme

4 Requisition forms directly to procurement. Do not send requisition forms directly to supplier or make verbal arrangements. Use the board schedule for suppliers. If for any reason need to use alternative supplier please contact procurement. Working with Finance

5 Use the appropriate coding. The Function code for dissemination is 8037 The Cost Centre code will be specific to your school (4 digits) 1234 The code for sub cover is A1 Budget holder and procurement will approve the requisition. The school will be sent monthly budget statement

6 Individual School Presentations to SSP Schools (not all) will be invited to make a brief presentation to the SSP steering group. Each school is asked to give a synopsis of their programme. Schools can present their programme in a variety of ways: Samples of Pupils’ Work Samples of teacher planners Samples of action plans Powerpoint presentation

7 End of year Evaluation School context Development Theme – Why it was chosen Action Plan – Key targets/outcomes Whole School Involvement: How was it achieved? Governors, Principal, SMT, teachers/assistants, Children, Parents/Community Programme Management:: Roles? Heads? Implementation Process: Positives, Negatives, Commitment Monitoring/Evaluation Outcomes – Gains for school, Gains for Pupils. How were the gains disseminated? Recommendations/General Comments – Plans for the future
