23 Question 1: What U.S. state capitol is the oldest? Santa Fe, New Mexico is the oldest U.S. capitol. In ancient times Santa Fe was a place of wild beauty. Native people hunted and fished in the mountains and planted their crops in the valleys. Santa Fe is home to lots of museums some of which are The Palace Of The Governors, The New Mexico Museum of Fine Arts and The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture. The liberty bell is important because it symbolizes freedom, A bell for the Pennsylvania State House was cast in London, England, however, it cracked soon after it arrived in Philadelphia. Local craftsmen John Pass and John Stow cast a new bell in 1753, using metal from the English bell. Their names appear on the front of the bell, along with the city and the date. 1846 a thin crack began to affect the sound of the bell. The bell was repaired in 1846 and rang for a George Washington birthday celebration, but the bell cracked again and has not been rung since. No one knows why the bell cracked either time. I compared Disney World to Rhode Island, in square miles and Disney world has 25 more square miles then Rhode Island. Disney world is 46.8 square miles.
