2 2. Information Sources Because of the colonists experience under a tyrannical government, the newly-established states were apprehensive toward giving any new government too much power. The Articles of Confederation were ratified while the American Revolution was in progress and became the first form of government for the new republic. Use the following resources to examine the strengths and weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation. Using the resources on the previous slide, gather the information needed to complete the graphic organizer. Analyze the Article’s weaknesses. 4 4. The Assessment Activity Create a digital media presentation to convince government leaders your change to the Articles of Confederation is most important. Choose ONE of the following products to create. 1. Create a Sock Puppet Show that justifies to government leaders your change to the article. Use the free Sock Puppet iPad/iPhone app to assemble your show. 2. Film your justification to government leaders of a change to the article using an iPad/iPhone video recorder. 3. Design an Animoto video that communicates to government leaders your justification of a change to the article. Animoto is a Website or a free iPhone/iPad app. Convince government leaders your change is essential. Use this rubric to help determine how to create and design your product.
