6 Compromise  Henry Clay (KT Senator)  Compromise Tariff of 1833  Gradually reduce Tariff of 1832 by 10% over 8 years  By 1842 would be same as rates of 1816  Force Bill  Allowed president to use force to collect tariffs  “Bloody Bill”  Tension continued
