4 Graduation Program – 80 Credits 1. Required 48 credits: o Language Arts 10*, 11, 12* 12 credits o Social Studies/Science Humaines 10 4 credits o Social Studies/Science Humaines 11* 4 credits o Science 10* 4 credits o A Science 11 4 credits o Mathematics/Mathématiques 10* 4 credits o A Mathematics 11 4 credits o Physical Education 10 4 credits o Fine Arts or Applied Skills 10, 11 or 12 4 credits o Planning/Planification 10 4 credits 2. Graduation Transitions: 4 credits ------------------------------- 3. Electives (Grade 10, 11 and 12) 28 credits TOTAL: 80 credits *Provincial Exam A minimum of 16 credits must be at the Grade 12 level. This includes 4 credits for a Language Arts 12 course, but does not include the 4 credits for Graduation Transitions. Students must also complete one Fine Arts or Applied Skills course in Grade 10, 11, or 12.

6 GRADUATION TRANSITIONS REQUIREMENTS AT A GLANCE: 4 mandatory credits for doing the following: 1)Healthy Living Plan 2)DPA: 150 minutes/week of logged & verified Physical Activity. Grades 10, 11, 12 (Terms 1,2,3) 3)30 Hours of Work Experience 4)Transition Guide – Due January 14, 2016 5)Student-Led Interview – April 8, 2016

10 Calculation of Admission Average is based on 4 courses:  UBC:English 12 + 3 Academic Gr 12 subjects  SFU :English 12 + 3 Academic Gr 12 subjects  UVIC:English 12 + 3 Academic Gr 12 subjects  Moscrop’s Academic Grade 12 courses: English, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, History, Geography, Law, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature, French/Langue Seconde, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese, AP Courses, Social Justice (SFU ONLY)

11 Each faculty in each university has different requirements... For example: SFU FACULTY OF SCIENCE English 11 Social Studies 11 Math 11: Pre Calculus -70% (60%-69%: numeracy course) Beginners Language 11 Chemistry 11 Physics 11 English 12 Math 12 (Pre Calculus) Science 12 **UBC: –One Science 12 plus one other Approved Grade 12 course(+Lang 11) Recent admission average - Sciences: 87% for SFU & 88% for UBC Recent admission average – Arts: 85% for SFU & 86% for UBC Acceptable Science 12 courses: Biology 12, Chemistry 12, Physics 12 (Geography 12 for SFU)

Career Programs 1 year Certificates 2 year Diplomas 2.University Transfer Programs Complete 1 or 2 years of university at college level Must complete at least 30 credits with sufficient GPA 3.Undergraduate Degree Programs University Colleges offer Undergraduate degrees in a variety of programs

14 VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS Programs vary in length from a few weeks to two years: Certificates Diploma and Post Diploma programs Some programs lead to a designated trade and to eventual completion of a full apprenticeship.
