2 Reserved Powers Powers not given to the federal government are RESERVED for the states or people. These are called RESERVED POWERS.

3 What powers do they share? States have several powers they share with the federal government: 1.Work Together with national government on projects (buildings, roads, bridges) 2.Provide Support for poor people (food, health care, and funds) 3.Tax Citizens

4 Cooperation States must cooperate with each other in 3 ways: 1.Full Faith and Credit 2.Guarantee of Republican Form of Government 3.Domestic Violence

5 Full Faith and Credit Each state must give credit to the other states decisions. MarriagesExtradition DivorcesLand Ownership

6 Guarantee of Republican Government Every state must guarantee that voters will elect their state leaders.

7 Domestic Violence National government will assist any state in situations of riots or rebellions.

8 What Services do States Provide? Elections Education Business Laws Police Public Buildings Highways
