5  Get your purple book and find poems online that have sound devices & figurative language.  Take out the poetic devices and see how the poem changes and how the mood changes  Use your standards (verbs & nouns) to direct you  Study your notes & vocabulary terms, so that you deeply understand their concepts (convert them to flash cards/someone to call out)

6  Write out the steps you will take on Friday’s test to answer the following question: › How does the rhyme scheme contribute to the meaning of the poem? (all of the answer choices start with “each pair of rhyming lines…”)
