2 Regions  Canada is divided up into four regions  Eastern Provinces: fishing  Heartland: manufacturing, finance  Western Provinces: farming, and natural resources  Canadian North: survivalist or self-sufficient

3 Natural Resources  Canada is very rich with regard to natural resources.  Renewable Resources: fishing, forest, and agriculture.  Nonrenewable Resources: nickel, zinc, uranium, lead, copper, gold, silver, oil, and natural gas

6 Canada’s Economy  The countries natural resources are very important to the countries economy.  However most people work in service industry jobs.  Largest trading partner is the U.S.

7 Major ExportsMajor Imports  Timber and wood pulp  Automobiles and parts  Aircraft  85% of all exports go to the U.S.  Machinery and equipment  Chemicals  Consumer goods  60% of imports come from the U.S.
