Reading Questions:
Explain why the covenant of Genesis 12:1-3 encapsulates the whole of God’s purposes in the Bible.  It reveals God’s mission to redeem all peoples of the earth.
Give an example of how a promise in the Bible can have a historical fulfillment, a “gospel” fulfillment, and an ultimate fulfillment. God’s promise to Abraham…historical fulfillment in his physical descendant, gospel fulfillment in Christ, and eschatological (ultimate) fulfillment in the destiny of all the redeemed.
