2 Last.fm ► -Last.fm builds a profile of each user's musical taste by recording details of all the songs the user listens to, which includes one’s own personal music via computer, portable music players and streaming music. ► -This information is transferred to Last.fm's database ("scrobbled") via a plugin installed into the user's music player. plugin ► -The profile data is then displayed on the user's profile page. ► -The site offers numerous social networking features and can recommend and play artists similar to the user's favorites.

6 Homepage- the good ► There are buttons to sort Events, Free Downloads, etc by the Tags ► Pressing the buttons result in same layout of information, good consistency.

7 Homepage – the good ► Good separation of information. ► Sections are boxed off, and accompanied with appropriate graphics and pictures.

8 Homepage – the good ► By clicking on the arrow in the upper right corner, access to quick links ► Easy language change, color change on one click, Help link ► Menu bar provides easy categories to browse ► Also gives users an easy exit ► Search bar is not too prominent but visible.

9 Homepage – the good ► In each “box” there is an ability to uncover more detailed information ► Limits the information a user has to process at one time.

10 Profile page – the good ► Ability to view Top Artists and Top Tracks of a specific user. ► Filter option available, easily see the top charts for different times of activity

11 Profile page – the good ► If you are logged in and click on another user’s profile, you can see you musical compatibility rating. ► Allows users to discover others with similar tastes in music

12 Profile page – the good ► Clicking on “Settings” will allow a user to change settings on the fly. ► By clicking “Make it so” it will change the display settings accordingly, and will not refresh the entire page. ► Easy to cancel/close

15 Home logged out ► Ad blends in ► Poor layout  Visibility issues ► A lot of negative space ► Scroll down to see more info ► Login is very small  Static-cannot add or remove anything  Radio to the right and small ► Set location is awful

18 Set Location ► Forces user to remember his/her location ► Offers almost no help  There is no auto complete  Not clear what to enter ► State ► City ► ??

19 Bad: Radio ► Mainly Visibility  Have to scroll to see everything  Poor use of space  Browser issues ► Firefox had some issues with displaying the images  But fairly well done

20 Bad: User Page ► Can’t use the nice radio ► It is a bit slow ► Radio thing on the right is not the same as the normal radio  It is your top tracks  And if you click on anything the music stops ► Still lots of scrolling ► Limited options to editing this page, the layout is fixed
