4. What is 21 st Century Learning?  Kincumber High School has adopted a platform of 21 st Century skills to inform our use of technology in learning and to prepare our students for a technological future.

Student Responsibilities  In the BYOD program, students must:  sign the BYOD student agreement with their parent/carer before bringing their devices to school  attach a KHS BYOD sticker to show they are using an approved BYOD device (not compulsory for phones)  ensure their devices are safe and secure at all times  protect their devices using carry cases, screen guards, etc  use devices according to school and NSW DEC policies

11. It’s voluntary!  Participation in BYOD is absolutely voluntary. Families are not required to purchase a technology device to support their student's learning. Students and their families are free to choose a device that best suits them according to the school's BYOD specifications.

12. Recommended Devices  Please note: 802.11n 5Ghz standard. Devices that do not support this standard will not be able to connect.  Please note: The Department's Wi-Fi network installed in high schools operates on the 802.11n 5Ghz standard. Devices that do not support this standard will not be able to connect.
