3 WP5 – Phase 4 March 201320th to 22th of March Main topics proposed  Do not select 3 visions from the 8 but rather combine them into 3 visions  Try to promote interaction between participants while presenting the output of this phase  Need to clarify some concepts during this phase

4 Phase 4 – Visions created Visions created are analysed by the sustainability criteria and are a combination of elements from the 8 visions. They should be clearly different March 201320th to 22th of March -Possibilities 1 Vision1: with all common features Vision 2: Common features + complementary features Vision 3: Opposing features to the vision 1 2 -Possibilities 2 Vision1: Increased productivity, specialization, competitivity Vision 2: Environmental and social concerns Vision 3: Localisms, local identity and cultural asserts of the region if there were signs in this way in the visions outlined by the participants.

10 Visual tools ●The above visual tools are good to present land cover and landscape changes but not for o socio- economic and open issues. To overcome this limitation and assure that reflections takes into account all components add to the above tools the tendencies of socio-economic and open issues. For that you can use ●Graphs, cartoons, symbols, tables. 12 April 2011FarmPath Kick-off10 The main idea is to increase communication and clarity! So if these does not help your case study don´t do it.

12 Protocol 5 - Goals March 201320th to 22th of March Identifying todays constrains and opportunities to reach the visions defined in Phase 4 Identifying pathways to reach the visions selected specifically: -Social and technological innovation needed, -Possible institutional arrangements need, -Necessary support measures -Socio-technical networks amongst actors within the farming community, policy, technology and wider society that can lead to an increase of regional sustainability of agriculture Identify the contribution need at an individual, regional and European level Potentiate a higher level of awareness on possible transition pathways for participants region. Promote transdisciplinary work that hopefully will continue after FarmPath project
