2 Art Japanese loved visual arts Popular art forms were painting, calligraphy, architecture, and decorative writing Calligraphers spent hundred of hours just copying poems

3 Architecture Buildings were very natural like Buildings=Simple but very elegant Houses were mostly surrounded by ponds or a watery area To top of the elegancy, Japanese put in many ponds and gardens

4 Performers Were all over Japan Some performers were musicians, jugglers, and acrobats Had to practice for hours=Skills This changed how plays and poems were told

5 Questions What were the 4 popular types of art? What did most houses in Japan have in common? How were most houses like? What types of performers were there?

6 Buddhism New religion was about to move into Japan, Buddhism is about to change into two types (Pure Land Buddhism and Zen Buddhism). It will please everyone and help in many ways.
