3. 3 The GeoGame will help pupils, but not only, to discover and learn about interesting places or monuments around the Earth. It can be used very easily as an educational tool for geography, history and environment.

4. 4 What is GeoGame? GeoGame was designed as an application for the common web-site visitor, to test his/her knowledge about a region. The task is to locate several displayed photos on the interactive map with the smallest possible error measured by the distance between marked and correct position.

5. 5 What is GeoGame? The web page is split into two parts: in the left part, some phenomenon photographs, such as natural monument (cave, rock, lake,...) or human imprint (church, castle,...) are shown and in the right part, interactive map of a region is displayed and user has to place marker on the position, he/she thinks, the phenomenon is located.

6. 6 What is GeoGame? The right location is displayed together with user set location and geographical distance is between set and real position is calculated Users have to place up to ten marks and at the end, mean value of distances between reality and users guess are calculated In the end, the user can then store his/her name into the table of best results

7. 7 How does it work? (simple users) Open the web address and select your game from the list Next you will see a photo that you should identify and locate in the map window on the right side The map offers the possibility to zoom and shift the map as you need and click the position you consider to be the best

(simple users) The red marker shows you the selected position, the green marker the correct one Go for the next photo by clicking the red button under the description of the phenomenon After the 10th answer, you get the result expressed by total distance between your and correct positions You can enter your name and be listed in the result rank

9. 9 How does it work? (advanced users) The administration module of the GeoGame allows advanced users to set up their own games. You can upload your photos, describe them, mark the “correct” position and finally publish the game for internet gamblers. You will need the authorized access to the server to create your own games.

12. 12 What types of games can be played? Castles or historical monuments It is easy to recognize castle in it’s present appearance. But couple hundred years ago it looked very different. It makes this game explorative and full of surprises. Nature phenomena Both famous and hidden treasures of our nature are hidden in this game. Spending your holidays out of city helps a lot.
