The Sun The sun is very important. It is one of the most important parts in our solar system. The sun is one of the things that keeps us alive!

Parts of the sun The sun’s energy and heat come from the middle of the sun– the core. The sun has a core, corona, photosphere, radiation zone, chromosphere, and convection zone.

How hot is the sun (temperature)? The sun’s surface is 10,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit (5,500 degrees Celsius). The sun’s core (inside) can go up to27,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit (15,000,000 degrees Celsius). The sun is known as the hottest part of our solar system.

The sun’s heat The sun’s heat is important because it gives us energy, plants energy, and animals energy. We need food to get energy and survive. The animals we eat get their energy from plants, which the plants get from the sun. We also eat vegetables that get their energy from the sun.

How large is the sun? Across, the sun is 875,000 miles (1,392,000 kilometers). Around, the sun (‘s radius) is about 700,000 kilometers (435,000 miles). If the sun was hollow, more than 1,000,000 Earths could fit in it.

The sun’s size The sun is one of the largest parts in our solar system. It is very important, and it is also very big. The sun’s size gives it its energy. The sun has so much energy because it is so big. A picture of the sun compared to Earth:

How much energy does the sun have? The sun has a lot of energy. It is very large, so it has a large amount of energy. One second of the sun’s whole energy could power the Earth for 1,000,000 years! The sun gets its energy from its core (the middle).

More about the sun The sun is necessary for us to survive. The sun is the hottest part of our solar system we know of. Winter is colder than Summer and Spring is warmer than Fall because of the sun. The Earth (our part of it) is not as close to the sun in Winter as it is in Summer. The sun’s heat is not as much as it is for us in the Summer in the Winter.

Review The sun is one of the things that keeps us alive. The sun’s energy comes from its core. The sun is one of the hottest things in our solar system – its surface is 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit (5,500 degrees Celsius). The sun’s core is 27,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit (15,000,000 degrees Celsius). The sun is 875,000 miles (1,392,000 kilometers) across.

More Review Around the sun(‘s radius) is 435,000 miles (700,000 kilometers). The sun gets its energy from its core. One second of the sun’s whole energy could power the Earth for 1,000,000 years. Winter is colder than Summer because our part of Earth is not as close to the sun and does not get as much heat.

Reflection I chose the sun because I wanted to write about how important it is and I thought the facts about it would be interesting. I thought that doing a report on the sun was fun because there were a lot of interesting facts to research. That is why I did my report on the sun. I thought it was surprising how much energy it has. I would want to do Mercury if I did another project.

Thank you for watching.
