3  Commit to the mission, vision, and goals of the induction program.  Provide professional, individual support to the principal through collaboration and effective communication.  Coordinate/facilitate interventions and professional learning experiences to guide growth and development of the induction phase principal.  Serve on the Principal Induction Support Team.  Successfully complete the initial and ongoing mentor training programs.

4  Effective induction program relies on the willingness of the induction phase principal to be open and candid concerning his/her needs for positive growth and development.  Participates in all facets of the induction program to ensure principal effectiveness which will have a positive impact on student achievement.

6 Attended Code of Ethics training. Code of Ethics training should include deeper information, including investigations, special needs students, testing, etc.

7 Attend scheduled meetings (district level, Zone, and Coaching sessions with you)

8  Before or after LAW meetings  Before or after Nuts and Bolts  If in the same zone, before or after the zone meetings  Other  Two tips…  Sit with your mentee  Have your coaching feedback form to make notes

9 Attend TKES and LKES training Be Credentialed for both Understands school improvement; Implementation; Accountability; And Other pertinent info in the Action Plan.

10 To collaborate and talk about specific topics for professional learning

11 Has had training in budgets, scheduling, facility use, staffing, etc.

12 Has had training in federal programs.

13 Understands the organizational charts and who to contact.

15  Has completed actions from all months (past dates)  And (you) record the dates on the Completion Report Due May 1, 2013

16  The Coaching Feedback form will be used by the Mentors.  Please keep in mind…you are mentoring not evaluating.  When the Mentor (you) use(s) the Coaching Feedback Form, it is to help the new leader with professional growth.  Please remember confidentiality.
