1 A popular countywide programme of free, short, regular walks led by trained volunteers and graded to suit all fitness levels and abilities.

2 East Herts Health Walks There are a variety of walks in Hertford, including a new fortnightly walk in Bengeo. There is a fortnightly walk at Southern Country Park in Bishop’s Stortford.

3 Why walk? Meet new people in your area – our walks are led by friendly volunteer leaders who welcome newcomers Brisk walking helps reduce the risk of diabetes, Alzheimer's, bowel cancer and can help prevent osteoporosis, high blood pressure, stroke and coronary heart disease Get outside in your local green spaces and countryside – helping to combat stress, depression and anxiety
