3 AIM I will be able to listen for feelings and write a statement of intention as a class to create and maintain a safe space.

4 CHAMPS O C=conversation, you may speak during class share out and when directed to speak with your peers *REMINDER WE PRACTICE RESPECT! O H=help, please raise your hand O A=activity, you are sharing out and responding you peers, and responding to the text. O M=movement we are not, all supplies will be given to you O P=participation, you are listening and responding to your peers, NO heads down, cell phones and/or eating

5 Feelings Match 12 Minutes O Find the matching word or facial expression connected to your Kimochi cards. O Your partner for the day will match your card. O Now follow the instructions for your peer interview.

6 Setting an Intention 10 minutes O Listening to a person talk about their feelings with total attention is not something we tend to do often. How would you describe the experience of listening to your partner share his/her feelings?

8 Setting an Intention 10 minutes O What do you find challenging about being ‘real’ with people?

9 Setting an Intention 10 minutes O Did you notice yourself becoming distracted at any point as your partner was talking? If so, why, and what did you do about it?

12 Setting an Intention 10 minutes O Sometimes when you hear someone express deep emotion, it triggers feelings in you, and you want to react. What can you do to respect what the other person is expressing and not make it ‘all about you’?
