Testbed Status Some thought has gone into issue of Middleware Development Project  Stable Production Platform LHC Experiments : EDG  LCG Make release X-1 stable or concentrate on release X (UK) Non LHC Experiments  No magic answers  Recent EDG managers meeting : freeze 1.1 and move to 1.2  Some notion of “really making 1.2 stable” discussed  GridPP TB decided to  Keep 1.1 going to keep UK in current testbed & add IC  Aim to get 1.2 running in UK ASAP

Situation is quite ridiculous !.  Only run meetings if attendees WANT them  Community DOES want education on how to deploy/use Grid software  Themed meetings – with explicit endorsement of community “Application builders meeting – covered all elements Sysman meeting oJob submission tutorial meeting – tomorrow o??? Data management tutorial meeting – next ??? o??? LCFG use ???
