A more realistic: “My Dreamlife Project” By: Costantino Agnesi

 A few days after I signed my million dollar contract with The Million Dollar Company I received a call. The “yearly salary of $1,000,000” was a misprint that should actually say $25,000!!!! What a heartbreak….  Since my actual outcome was somewhat different from the one I projected in my previous Dreamlife Project I had to change it a bit…

The new calculations Income:  a yearly salary of $25,000 + a signing bonus of $10,000 (the company has never asked its return) = $2916.67 a month the first year and $2083.33 the following years.  There are no tax reductions!!! (thank god I voted for the socialist party… make those capitalist pigs pay) With a monthly salary of $2916.67 a month the first year my new and $2083.33 the following years “Dreamlife” would go like this:

 I would ether call my parents, explain the real situation and ask them to allow me to live there again. They would probably let me in again since they would not detest me for my new salary!!!  Or follow this new plan:

The New Plan My apartment in Milan and my beach house in Roatan became: A 1,263 Sq Ft 3 bed, 2 bath on 664 Springwater Rd. Kokomo, IN 46902 Price: $77,500 Fits perfectly with the 3 year salary rule of thumb!!!

Why did I chose Kokomo, IN?  According to www1.move.com… “In Kokomo, Indiana—one of the top three cheapest cities in the Midwest—the average home cost only $94,000, $5,000 cheaper than a home in Indianapolis and about $50,000 less than the national average. And while Kokomo is the birthplace of the automobile, the air quality remains one of the best in the country. What else makes this city cheap? Try on its anemic average salary: The personal per capita income of Kokomo ranks 72nd in the country, providing an average of $25,053.” (http://www1.move.com/Finance/Census/LeastExpensive.asp)http://www1.move.com/Finance/Census/LeastExpensive.asp Second options include Des Moines (Iowa), Boise (Idaho) or Spokane (Washington)

The car I would drive: My Porsche became a: 2010 Hyundai Accent Blue (2010 Motor Trend Cheapest Car )  Cost: $9,970  28 mpg (city), 36 mpg (highway)  110 HP SAE @ 6,000 rpm  iPod/USB port For more info visit: http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2010/hyundai/accent/blue_ha tchback/3178/specifications/index.html

I would also buy a: 2010 Vespa GTV 250  Cost: $6,899 Huffy Good Vibrations Men’s 26-Inch Cruiser Bike  Cost: $74.64

Monthly Budget  $300 in clothing  $250 in food  $200 in gas  $200 in entertainment  Up to $500 in miscellaneous spending. (credit card) Total: Around $1.957 a month Note: the first month spending would reach $2032 due to the payment of the bike.

Savings  The first year I would be saving $959.67 a month.  The following years this would decrease to $126.33 a month. These savings would generate an interest rate of 0.0001% a year, this can be completely ignored.
