2 INTRODUCTION Looking at the cover of the book, make a prediction about what you think the story is about? (Only if you haven’t already read it…) What do you think is important about the key in the lock? Why do you think it has a red ribbon on it?

3 INTRODUCTION The Indian in the Cupboard is about a boy named Omri, a special cabinet, and a very special Indian toy. Let’s work on vocabulary for the first four chapters… You will write part of the vocabulary today and part tomorrow.

What does Omri do when he realizes he is not able to help Little Bear?
