2 BBBBegan in March 31,1909 at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. TTTThe project began by a British shipping company ( The White Star Line) and funded by J.P Morgan. JJJJ.P Morgan owned the International Mercantile Marine Co. MMMMarch 31, 1912 the making of the cruise ship was complete. IIIIt took 3 years to make the Titanic. TTTThe cost of the making was $7,500,000. IIIIt was 882 feet, 9 inches in length, and 175 feet in height. IIIIt was the largest passenger steamship of that time. WWWWeighed over 46,000 tons. 2222,228 passengers were on the ship.

4  April 2, 1912 RMS Titanic got its passenger certificate after passing the sea trials.  April 10, 1912 the ship started its voyage from Southampton, England.  Captain Edward J. Smith was in command of the ship.  2,228 people were on the ship including famous and important people from the US and Europe.  On April 14th the ship has crossed almost half of its scheduled Trans- Atlantic route, the lookouts spotted a ice burg right in the direction to where the ship was heading to.

5 TTTThe lookouts gave a warning bell and tried to alert other crew members. TTTThe ice burg hit the right side of the ship. TTTThere were only 20 lifeboats. BBBBy 2:45 am On April 15, 1912 the entire ship was underwater. TTTThe rescue operation took 4 hours. 1111,517 people died 777705 people survived
