8 ADVANTAGES OF THE INTERNET DISADVANTAGES OF THE INTERNET Quick and easy to access. Not everyone has access to the internet. The internet provides lots of up-to-date information. Some information presented may be biased, for example information from a specific pressure group. The range of information available is limitless from government statistics to web sites designed by pressure groups and international organisations such as the United Nations. Sometimes the internet may provide too much information, making it difficult to decide which is most useful. The internet presents data in many different formats, words, statistics, photos and videos. Some information from public created websites like Wikipedia may not be 100% accurate. You can print out or bookmark a useful website for future use. The school internet may not permit access to some web sites because of the ‘net nanny’ in place.
