14  Alexander the Great loved Greek culture and religion, but he also allowed, and respected the religions of the land he conquered. He made the Greeks worship him as the son of Zeus

15  Alexander the Great’s empire crumbled soon after his death in 323 B.C.E. when he was 33 years old. But he had succeeded in spreading Greek culture throughout the world.

16  Civilization – Ancient Greece had evidence of all seven characteristics of a civilization, government, religion, social structure, art, written language, technology, and stable food supply.  Empire – Ancient Greece also had an Empire at one time, because it didn’t start from scratch, had a strong leader and army, bureaucracies, extensive trade, established religion with others allowed, and a decline.  So ancient Greece was a civilization and empire.
