16 1629/03/2012O. Böttcher – EN-HE-HM HM Safety Mandate  Safety Inspections are part of the entire Equipment Life Cycle Management.  CERN organized this service independant from the Equipment Responsibility  Problematic for managing Safe Use and Operation! Safety Commission prior to first use Safety Commission of certain repairs Safety Commission of modifications Procurement Add. Services Periodic Safety Inspections Life cycle relaunch / Modifications Maintenance Interventions Prev. / Correct. 17 HM Safety Mandate 1729/03/2012O. Böttcher – EN-HE-HM Overview Management tasks Use authorizations to operators other than EN-HE-HH (EDH AC-PE) Validation for use as access means (lamp + hall maintenance) Documentation management (Safety file, intervention history, maintenance and user instructions, certificates) Database management Conformity management (>200 cranes not CE) Conclusion: These tasks require clarification and support by IT to be performed correctly and with the given resources!  Other HM tasks related to Equipment Responsibility and Safe Operation.

18 HM Initiatives 1829/03/2012O. Böttcher – EN-HE-HM  In order to improve the equipment management a lot of things are ongoing:  Chloé Cornu:  Process description (BPMN) for Use authorization via EDH  Process mapping of HM regular tasks  Damien Lafarge:  Process description (BPMN) of technical maintenance processes  CMMS (GMAO) improvements: reporting …  JM. Chevalley / O. Boettcher / I. Ruehl:  Interface and collaboration with DGS-SEE  ….  Thanks to all people supporting these initiatives!

19 Thanks to Transport!!! 19  You contribute incredible support to the HM Section!!!!!  Thank you very much !!!!!! 29/03/2012O. Böttcher – EN-HE-HM
