Post-Katrina: September – December 2005 –President announced to the Senior Staff that the campus would reopen in January –Hosting Web site and e-mail hosted at Xavier University of Ohio: Completed September 14 Banner hosted in Philadelphia at vendor’s site: Completed September 23 –Began to build on-line registries for faculty, staff, and students Xavier University Of Louisiana A Tradition of Excellence

9. Lessons Learned –Well Defined Communications Plan In the immediate aftermath of a crisis, the need for information is critical. Make sure your campus knows what the plan is.
