To fix your microphone quality open the panel control, click to open sound icon and then choose microphone. Check your volume, if the volume is not the problem, then you have to make sure in what bit is your computer running, if it is running in 16 bit you have to choose your mic to run in 16 bit too. If it is a 32bit do the same for your microphone.
