7. Scheme changes (so far) Following extensive consultation, two significant changes have been introduced :- Recognition of Academic Qualifications (AQP card)  September 2013 Replacement of CSO card with the Labourer card  July 2014

8. Academically Qualified Persons Card (AQP) CSCS AQP cards issued to holders of:- Construction Related HNC and HND Construction Related Degrees NEBOSH Construction Certificates and National Diplomas CIOB Certificates

9. From July 2014 applicants for the Labourer card must have achieved a new knowledge based qualification - Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Award OR A Recognised equivalent such as SSP or IOSH ‘Working Safely’ Green Card Changes

14. The appropriate qualification(s) for each occupation will be agreed between the sector representative organisation and its recognised standard setting body. The minimum standard for skilled occupations is a NVQ Level 2 qualification relevant to the occupation plus a separate health and safety element. Where an NVQ level 2 qualification is not available the sector representative organisation and the relevant standard setting body will specify the recognised equivalent qualification for the occupation. Cards for new entrants, apprentices, trainees, labourers or workers in the process of obtaining formal qualification will clearly and easily identifiable A transition process to bring all existing cardholders up to the minimum standard by 2020 will be agreed and implemented.
