3  WWF's mission is to stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.  “advocacy with excellence”  WWF creates solutions that will solve our planet's BIG environmental challenges. We want people and nature to thrive together.

4  1961 there were limited amount of resources available and didn’t have the way of raising money.  WWF was created as an advocacy foundation to raise the money for the other organizations.  It was created on September 11, 1961 by a group of Europeans composed of scientists, naturalists, business and political leaders.  Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands became the organization’s first president.

6  WWF in the United States is an independent organization, it plays an increasingly important role in the worldwide conservation programs of the Network  Since 1985, the WWF Network has invested over $1.165 billion in more than 11,000 projects in 130 countries.  WWF's current strategy for achieving its mission specifically focuses on restoring populations of 36 species.  Trying to cover up the last six years worth of damage to these areas carbon emissions, cropland, grazing land, fishing, forestry and water.

10  Gland, Switzerland is where the head quarters is located.  Over 100 countries world wide.  The fund’s budget is over hundreds of millions. This is not much if you think about all the projects that are on the go! Distribution of Funds: 83% to Program Expenses 11% to Fundraising 6% to Administration

11  HRH Prince Philip Past president of World Wildlife Fund and staunch supporter  Numerous celebrities have donated t-shirts for auctions (Scarlet Johannsen), performed free concerts (Nelly Furtado) and participated in some way to assist the WWF.
