2 B ELLWORK Today we will be reading an article titled “Beetle Turns Itself into a Wheel (That’s How it Rolls)”. Write 2-3 sentences predicting what the article is about and what you will learn. 4 I NTRODUCTION The southern beaches of Cumberland Island, off the coast of Georgia, USA, are part of a national park. To protect the area, only residents and staff are allowed to drive their vehicles on the sands. But there are plenty of wheels nonetheless – small, living ones.

5 S TRATEGY : T WO W ORDS -T WO S ENTENCES For each “chunk” of the article we read, we will write a two word title & two sentences summarizing what we learned. E XAMPLE : National Park There is a national park in Georgia where most people are not allowed to drive. However, there is some other kind of “wheel” you can find on the island.
