5 GLOBAL MIGRATION Instead of giving them jobs in our countries, we should have the possibility of creating jobs in their own countries. Economic support and encourage industry from other countries In some countries the problem is not immigration, but emigration, so they should receive some kind of aid to maintain their workers with better salaries. Support productive politics in those countries where changes are being made.

6 YOUTH Alcohol and drugs: Alcohol should be more expensive (more tax) funds used to support rehabilitation and treatment centers and counseling. More police to control the streets Organize more activities Non alcohol related such as clubs and sports Meet better friends The following two areas were discussed in more detail by other groups. Take part in voluntary organizations, for example “Abierto hasta el amanecer” here in Gijón that offers different activities to spend your free time at night. Computer game addiction: Choose other activities to spend your free time and having fun. Do more sports. Parents should make timetables to their children. 10 ALCOHOL & DRUGS Netherlands Proper treatment Drug dependacy can be fully handled. Again counseling and support of programs Learn to life without drugs or alcohol. Possitive effect on society. Increase taxes Taxes on alcohol get increased. Only used in the Netherlands, can/should be used by other countries. (alcohol and drug pass) Can use the extra money for helping people. It´s a long-term solution.

11 A LCOHOL & D RUGS Prevention programmes Inform (young) people about drugs and alcohol. Think of lectures, videos, campaigns, etc. These are effective in reducing drug abuse. Stay away from people who´ve got drugs. Be aware of places where people take drugs. Support people with alcohol/drugs problems, in order to get them sobber.

12 A LCOHOL & D RUGS Registration passes Still a experiment, used in The Netherlands. You´ll need a pass to gain access to drugs. It registers how much and when you bought drugs. Can lead to an increase of the illegal market. (Smaller) Solutions to drugs Have more control over the entry of drugs into the country. Tackle the easy access of the youth to soft drugs (marijuana, hashish, etc.) Encourage young people to do activities not related to drugs. (films and sports)
