What is Vision+? INPS: “A free of charge QOF Management Tool which is fully integrated with Vision. Vision+ functionality includes real-time alerts for additional QOF points, practice-based protocols and a simple but powerful recall facility.” http://www.inpshelp.co.uk/dlm480/Visionplus/index.htm#52764 http://www.inpshelp.co.uk/dlm480/Visionplus/index.htm#52764

What is Vision+? Bluebay software bolted onto Vision QOF Read coding prompts – based on your settings and available business rules Recall management SMS texting for appointment reminders and recall invitations QOF contract performance reporting Templates for non-QOF reporting and monitoring Presentation screenshots from Vision +update in DLM480

Vision+ & Contract Prompts Vision+ automatically creates the reminders in real time when a patient record is opened. These are also interactive so clicking on a line e.g. “Smoking”

Vision+ & Contract Prompts Clicking on the smoking line automatically brings up the relevant data entry box.

Vision+ & Contract Prompts Drop down boxes filter to suggest only Read codes that meet QOF business rules.

What Else Can We Do? Print preview and Print icons allow the user to print all the prompts. Might be useful prior to a home visit? The prompts window is “always on top”. Click on the Cross to close it. May be easier than dragging it out of the way? To redisplay the data, select the Chart icon from the floating Vision+ toolbar This icon list changes depending on which prompt in the list is selected.

Icon List – Enter QOF Code See the Read codes that would satisfy the highlighted prompt. This icon has the same effect as double clicking on the prompt.

Icon List – Exception Codes Add an exception code for the highlighted prompt.

Icon List – Exception Codes If there is a previous exception code in the record then it is highlighted using an orange flag. The difference can be difficult to tell between this and the red flag for “add a new exception code” Hovering over the orange flag displays the details of the previous exception entry

Icon List – Access QOF Templates Open a new window to display the relevant template for this QOF area Templates allow the user to access all the indicators for the chosen disease area.

Icon List – Indicator Logic Open a new window to display the QOF business rules logic for the selected indicator To answer the question definitively “why is this indicator still outstanding / not needed” use the indicator logic window

Indicator Logic Hover over or left click on each piece of highlighted text to either see the relevant Business Rules or to display relevant historic Read code entries from the record. Date display depends on Forward Dating settings for the user. This screenshot taken 12 Sept 2015 with Forward Dating set to 30 days.

Icon List – Mail Merge Links to Mail Merge function to send and/or update recalls. For the currently selected patient only. Also allows the user to access the other functions such as SMS texting, ASSIGN calculator, etc.

Vision+ Floating Toolbar Display (if closed) the indicator prompts window for the currently selected patient Display non-QOF indicators for the patient Hover over the cross to display a context sensitive menu. This is NOT a route to the Vision+ settings menu (see later)

Vision+ Floating Toolbar Access templates for each QOF area – even if the patient does not have the disease Access non-QOF, including health board or practice specific, templates Add patient to any QOF register. Selecting a disease area brings up a list of appropriate Read codes. Access various calculators which can add results and analysis directly to the patient record.
