4 PURPOSE OF HONORS/AP CLASSES Studies have found that the rigor of a student’s high school curriculum is the single best predictor of success in college. Honors: Honors classes often offer the same curriculum as regular classes, but are tailored for high-achieving students- covering additional topics or some topics in greater depth. If he/she does not maintain that level, he/she will be moved to a similar class at a lower level. This change will occur at the semester only.
