So if Macbeth is so overwhelmed by guilt for murdering his own king that he begins hallucinating, and his wife encourages him to forget all about the murder, but he believes so whole-heartedly in the witches prophecies that he hires assassins on his own accord to murder his best friend, Banquo, and his son, Fleance, and… Also, we have evidence that though Macbeth feels guilt, he is obsessive about maintaining the throne, plus there’s big-time suspicion starting to float around his name… What happens to the Macbeths now?
