A discussion of some of the particulars about the author in relation to the text studied. A comparison of stylistic features and their varying purposes in two of the texts.

5 In what forms can the analysis be presented? Role play of a character from a text studied (or not) in class. Standard Oral Presentation on a text/excerpt Group activity: Scene re-enactment Formal debate Comparison of two different columnists’ response to a single event. Writing and performance of a dramatic scene based on one part of the work studied. A commentary on a key passage. A multimedia presentation shown to class and discussed as a group. Creation of a short film with class discussion of intent and success. Role play of a dialogue between author and interviewer.
